Ukraine remains in control of Kharkiv government building
In Ukraine, the neighborhood government headquarters is surrounded by police in riot gear within the western city of Kharkiv.
Pro-Russian demonstrators occupying the building were removed during that which was explained from the interior minister being an “anti-terrorist operation.”
Sixty individuals were arrested.
Angry demonstrators gathered outside demanding a referendum about their area joining Russia.
Vladen Kharkiv, an area resident described: “The scenario in Kharkiv has been increased exclusively from the Russian part. It’s in Russia’s curiosity to get back Luhansk, Donetsk and Kharkiv under Russian control. It’s in its interest.”
If it intervened more in Ukraine NATO warned Moscow of “grave consequences” to its connection with all the West.
John Kerry, US Secretary of State, stated:
“Russia’s unique and clear participation in destabilising and participating in separatist activities in western Ukraine is significantly more than seriously troubling.
“No you ought to be confused and trust me, no body is confused, by what may potentially be considered an artificial framework for military treatment just like we observed in Crimea,” he added.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov dismissed US allegations that Moscow was destabilising Ukraine.
“Regarding the question about who’s invoking the activities in Ukraine and who had been invoking, our American associates are most likely attempting to handle the problem centered on their typical conduct,” said Lavrov.
Meanwhile Ukrainian military personnel carriers were observed on the freeway away from western Ukrainian city of Luhansk.
These were proceeding towards the city’s airport.
Pro-Russian separatists took within the local headquarters of the security providers in Luhansk.
